A one mile lightly trafficked trail that circles the Maple Woods Nature Preserve in Kansas City. The forest is old growth, with a variety of stunning trees—black maple, northern red, white and bur oak, bitternut and shagbark hickory, red elm, basswood, black walnut, and white ash. The preserve is especially beautiful during the fall months when the leaves are all changing color.
