Cinder Block Brewery

Offering some of the Northland’s most experimental brews and a relaxed atmosphere, Cinder Block Brewery is a local brewer and bar that you have to try. Featuring a series of house-brewed beers, several limited release brews, and weekly specials, there’s no shortage of variety here. If trivia is your thing, stop by on a Tuesday for their Geeks Who Drink weekly pop-culture themed trivia night. Make sure to order a glass of their classic brew, the Northtown Native Lager!

Calibration Brewery

Start your night with some apps and share-ables before diving into their menu of locally brewed beers dubbed with quirkily memorable names that you’ll want to mention in your Instagram or Facebook post. A highly recommended brew at Calibration Brewery is the “Compared to What” Scottish Ale! Looking to plan something a little more private? If you are, consider booking a Calibration taproom takeover to give your group private access to the entire taproom at the front of the brewery.

Big Rip Brewery

Featuring 30+ beers on rotation, Big Rip Brewery has a taste for everyone! Their décor is laid out for casual hangouts, making Big Rip the perfect place to meet up and relax with friends. Not to mention, you won’t have to worry about drinking on an empty stomach here! Big Rip has a full menu of beer-worthy apps and treats that you’ll want to try. We recommend you try Zelda’s Vanilla Cream Ale. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday.

Serving up delicious locally crafted whiskey, gin, and vodka, Restless Spirits Distilling is the top place to sip on Clay made spirits. Open for distillery tours, Restless Spirits offers a perfectly unique Clay experience that features spirit tastings and cocktails. Restless Spirits Distilling Co.’s history in North Kansas City started in 2016, but the history of the family that founded it spans back to 1853 when the Shannon family left for America from Ireland. These craft spirits are made to “please the palate and ease the soul”.

Atlas Saloon

The Atlas Saloon has called the same location home since 1894! The brewery uses Excelsior Springs’ famous mineral waters to brew their classic German Beers. Many of the beers served at Atlas Saloon are named after the twenty-nine mineral springs that can be found all over the country. The saloon’s bar is a historic Schlitz bar that served one of the most popular German lagers in America.

Excelsior Springs may be known for its healing mineral waters, but when you visit Dubious Claims you’ll want to forget the water and drink the beer. All beers are brewed onsite and they’re constantly working and making something new and delicious. Order by the glass, growler, or build your own flight! Not to mention, Dubious Claims boasts its own full restaurant menu, featuring freshly made pizza, wings, apps, and more! We suggest you try the Bathhouse Blueberry Wheat while you’re there.
