The Big Rip Brewery

This Liberty brewery offers its own delicious craft ales and lagers. 3HALVES’ menu features year-round selections in addition to rotating seasonal beers, such as the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, a fruity milkshake IPA. History buffs will get a kick out of the names of the brewery’s flagship brews, including the Stick ’Em Up stout, named after the infamous Jesse James bank robbery in Liberty in 1866.


Dubious Claims Brewing

This independent microbrewery is located in the heart of downtown Excelsior Springs and offers delicious locally brewed taps. Dubious Claims’ name is a nod to the city’s famed mineral waters that were said to have healing properties, drawing crowds of curious visitors to the area in the early to mid-20th century. “Forget the water, drink the beer,” is the motto at this Clay County brewery.
