The Shoal Creek Living History Museum is the ideal stop for history buffs. Nestled upon 80 acres within Hodge Park, the museum is home to 21 authentic nineteenth century buildings (dating 1807-1885). The grounds are open daily from dusk until dawn.
Admission is free unless you arrive on an event day. Typically you cannot enter the buildings at the museum, but they are opened during special events. Make sure to check the museum's schedule to see if any special events are on the horizon! The Shoal Creek History Museum comes to life during events, the buildings are opened and reenactors can be seen roaming the grounds.
