The Elms Hotel & Spa

The historic Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs is one of the most haunted places in Missouri, with the original hotel dating to 1888. Many famous figures have stayed at the hotel over the years including the infamous Al Capone during the days of prohibition. Book a stay and discover the nightly ghost tours for the guests at 9:00 pm. If you really want a scare, stay on the 4th floor of the hotel; guests of rooms 422 and 425 in particular receive a lot of activity from these otherworldly forces. Belvoir Winery & Inn

The historic Belvoir Winery, once known as the Odd Fellows Home, is a must-see if you're looking for things that go bump in the night in Clay. The winery was once a school, orphanage, nursing home, and an asylum. Paranormal investigations of the 1900’s Odd Fellows Home Complex take place often and include using paranormal gear on a 5 hour tour and activity through the home. Stay the night and read the journal entries left by guests who had an encounter during their visit. If ghosts aren’t your thing, don't worry, the winery also hosts a Murder Mystery Dinner party for guests. Tickets and more information can be found through the Winery's website. Don't forget to try some BOO's desert wine while you're there!
